Michael C. Wynne Secures Successful Jury Verdict in North Texas Trust Dispute
Wynne, Smith & Young is pleased to share that Partner Michael C. Wynne recently secured a favorable jury verdict in a complex estate and trust litigation matter involving a disputed land conveyance in North Texas.
The case, tried in Cooke County, centered on the mismanagement of a family trust and the improper transfer of a 76-acre tract of land valued at approximately $3 million. Mike Wynne represented the plaintiffs—trust beneficiaries—who asserted that the property had been conveyed in violation of the trust’s terms and without the required transparency or consent.
Following detailed testimony and legal argument, the jury found in favor of Mike’s clients on all issues presented, including questions of undue influence and fiduciary duty. The jury also awarded full legal fees for trial representation and appellate proceedings.
This result reflects Mike’s deep experience in high-stakes civil and estate litigation. Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, he has served North Texas families for over 30 years and continues to provide measured, results-driven advocacy in trust and fiduciary disputes.
